PM drops in on Laidlaw Interiors in Dubai

6 Nov 12 Laidlaw Interiors Group (LIG) CEO John Jefferies welcomed prime minister David Cameron onto the company’s stand on the opening day of Dubai’s Big 5 building and construction show.

Cameron was visiting the exhibition as part of a three-day tour of the Middle East.

“We’re delighted that Mr Cameron visited our stand at Big 5. It adds some real kudos to the LIG brand and its services whilst we are at the show,” said Jefferies. "Our story of growth was fitting to his remit of promoting British manufacturing abroad. The famous front door at Number 10 is actually one of our Longden doors, so we were even able to have a chat about that!"

The company offers products including doorsets, architectural ironmongery, balustrading, glazing, access control and partitioning from within its divisions - Laidlaw, Saturn Architectural, Komfort, Leaderflush Shapland, Fitzpatrick, Longden, Cubicle Systems, Tufwell Glass and TDSL.

LIG has offices in Dubai and Qatar and has been specified in a number of projects across the region, including the Meydan grandstand, Zayed University, Sorbonne University and Eastern Mangroves Resort.
