The robust construction industry in Cebu Province has prompted RMD Kwikform to expand its base in the area, opening a much bigger facility in Consolacion.
Hamish Bowden, RMD Kwikform president for the Philippines and regional director for Asia, said: “The construction industry has a huge opportunity in the Philippines and there is a lot of potential for investment in the region. In fact, most of our customers are local and having a good local relationship is an important part of our business.
“Because of the strong growth we had, especially in Cebu where construction is experiencing a boom, we have opened a much bigger facility in Tayud, Consolacion. The area is bigger than the old one, which was only 1,500 square meters. Here we have a total of 6,000 square meters, which will help us achieve our projection for double-sized growth in the Philippines by 2015.”
