Glasgow-based Mason Evans employs 45 staff and operates across Scotland. The company, which was founded in 1995, provides a variety of services to developers, house-builders, distillers, local authorities, contractors, consulting engineers and architects.
CTS Group has been expanding and its recent acquisitions recently including CGL in November 2020, Nicholls Colton in February 2021 and Silkstone Environmental in August 2021.
In purchasing Mason Evans, said that it is enhancing and extending its existing capabilities and extending its environmental, geotechnical and land engineering consultancy capabilities in Scotland.

The move sees two of the original founding directors, David Mason and Maureen Mackay formally retire from the business.
Mason Evans managing director Niall Lawless, who will be continuing to lead the business along with Patrick Barry and Neil Thomson, said: “This is an exciting step for Mason Evans, and I’m delighted to be continuing as managing director supporting the future growth of the combined business and integration process. CTS is based in Leicester and has a nationwide network of laboratories and offices. It offers a range of construction testing, inspection and compliance services, supporting all sectors of the construction market including commercial, rail, road, residential, airports, tunnelling, mining, and utilities as well as brownfield regeneration.
