Structural consultant divides into two

21 Dec 11 Birmingham-based structural engineer Cox Turner Morse is being folded and replaced by two new practices.

Copeland Wedge Associates - (L to R: O'Donnell, Wedge and Copeland)
Copeland Wedge Associates - (L to R: O'Donnell, Wedge and Copeland)

Cox Turner Morse is being replaced by CTM Residential and Copeland Wedge Associates, with each targeting its own specific markets. The reorganisation is described by the directors as a response to difficult trading conditions.

CTM Residential will initially concentrate on civil and structural engineering services in the residential market, while Copeland Wedge Associates will seek opportunities in all other sectors.

CTM directors Richard Stowe and Carl Hanson head up CTM Residential.

Erstwhile colleagues Dave Copeland and Jim O'Donnell, along with new owner/director Steve Wedge make up the board of directors for consulting engineers Copeland Wedge Associates. CTM managing director Steve Brown will be a consultant to both companies.

Cox Turner Morse Consulting LLP will see out all existing appointments and commitments, but all new commissions will be undertaken by one of the new practices.

Copeland Wedge Associates says that it has already secured 50% of its budgeted turnover for 2012.

L to R:  O'Donnell, Wedge and Copeland
