It is an extension of the business’s contract services team, which is led and managed by John Boultwood in the UK.

The company’s contract services covers six key advisory elements: procurement strategy, contract support and negotiation, contract/schedule/cost risk management, claims avoidance and management, legal support services and expert advisory/testimony services.

In Australia, John Brells is the national director for contract services based in Perth. On the west coast he is supported by associate director Eric van Groezen, associate director Charles Fournier, senior consultant Julian Tudor-Jones and consultants Jason Maher and Reinder Ebbens. On the east coast he is supported by director David Hardiman and associate director Neil Birchall.

"The established contract services team in the region continues to grow and provides us with a great opportunity to further develop and expand our opportunities into the commercial, contractual and expert witness advisory service lines across all our market sectors in Australia,” said John Boultwood. “The mix of professionalism, legal and technical skills in our specialist contract consultancy team means were are already providing valuable and early contractual advice to some of our key clients in both Perth and Brisbane."

In addition to several expert witness commissions, the team is currently involved in providing advisory services on four of the major LNG projects currently under way in western Australia.
