II.2.4) Description of the procurement

Framework for the Supply of Works and Services in respect of Telecommunications Design and Build including Radio, Telecoms Transmission and Civils.

The scope of the framework may include engineering services (including civil engineering), electrical and mechanical engineering and telecommunications disciplines. Telecommunications shall be interpreted as including wired and wireless transmission networks/infrastructure; wired and wireless access equipment / networks; radio, including GSM-R; voice communications (rail operational and corporate); cabling and troughing; structured cabling; Data Centres; physical and logical security enhancements (e.g., fencing, sensors) to buildings and REBs; Information Technology in support or provision of Telecommunications systems; Operational Support Systems / Network Management; changes to electrical equipment (e.g., AC/DC power systems, UPSs, batteries, DNOs, electrical cabling, and testing etc.); and Relocatable Equipment Buildings.
