The Council wishes to appoint a provider to deliver its Defect Response and Emergency Works Term Maintenance contract. This contract is essential for Highways Maintenance team to deliver statutory duties, including:
- minor maintenance works;
- minor coated macadam patching and pothole reinstatement to carriageways and footways;
- relaying and replacing slabs;
- relaying and replacing kerbs and channels;
- adjusting boxes;
- fixing and adjusting small signs;
- cutting and trimming trees, hedges and shrubs;
- removing obstructions from the highway;
- providing assistance to the emergency services;
- reacting to civil contingencies which may include severe weather events and oil spills;
