II.2.4) Description of the procurement
The scope of works, as contained herein and within the associated appendices, proposes to remove the
glazing and frame which houses the plantroom at roof level and replace it with A1 lightweight 100mm wide
blocks with internal class A1 steel frames. All materials to be used are non-combustible and covered with
render painted with external class 0 fire spread white masonry paint finish, to match the existing walls above.
The core works required under this Contract, will include but are not limited to:
• Removal of glazed rainscreen around the perimeter of the plant room at roof level.
• Installation of new steel frame post and masonry lightweight block infill around the perimeter of
the plantroom and finished in render and read in conjunction with Structural Engineer
specification.
• Ensure roof is made watertight.
• Making good of all areas.
• Submission to the BSR (gateway 2)
