II.2.4) Description of the procurement
Lot 1 – Minor Civil Engineering Projects and Ironworks up to the value of £25,000 The adjustment and replacement of carriageway ironwork/minor civils works in association with resurfacing and other surface treatments. This work tends to be planned rather than reactive type work. Reactive work is included within a separate framework. This will also involve some minor civil engineering projects and accommodation works, such as but not limited to kerb replacement, footway patching/resurfacing and minor drainage works, all to be carried out in conjunction with the carriageway resurfacing scheme. The majority of this work is covered under Series 500 and 1100 of the Schedule of Rates (Appendix A), and includes kerb replacement precast kerbing and channels, adjusting ironworks and minor drainage works and some minor areas of footway construction and resurfacing.
