Description

The provision of Water Temperature Monitoring/Inspections has been split geographically across two contracts. Each service provider will be a designated provider for their respective geographical contract. The Authorities premises have been split.

• Contract A - North

• Contract B - South

This Service comprises the monitoring of water temperatures along with inspections and related tasks at sites nominated by the Authority to satisfy HSE ACOP L8, Health and Safety Guidance 274 ("HSG 274") All work must be completed in accordance with applicable British and European Standards

All works are located within Lancashire County Council establishments across the county. The Services shall be carried out and completed at the frequencies set out in the specification, which may be amended by the Authority from time to time.

The scope does include for any call out or reactive repair of faults.

Lot 1. Water Temperature Monitoring for Premises in the North of the County

Description

The Authority has an ongoing need to establish contracts for the provision of legionella water temperature monitoring.

The authority has identified 315 sites in the north of the County where these services are required.

The Sites at which the Services must be performed will be identified by instructions provided by the Authority's Representative or the Legionella Control Officer to the Service Provider.

Lot 2. Water Temperature Monitoring for Premises in the South of the County

Description

The Authority has an ongoing need to establish contracts for the provision of legionella water temperature monitoring.

The authority has identified 306 sites in the south of the County where these services are required.

The Sites at which the Services must be performed will be identified by instructions provided by the Authority's Representative or the Legionella Control Officer to the Service Provider.

On 28th April 2026, the Authority published an advert to create a Dynamic Market for Legionella Services, with the Dynamic Market being created with effect from 1st June 2026.

Access to tender opportunities for Legionella Services is restricted to those suppliers who have joined the Dynamic Market and signed the Term of Use.
