Description

A framework to deliver technical and highways works to the City of Salford. This will be an open framework whereby our intention is to open the framework at years 3 and 6. The Authority estimates that the total value of this framework to be around £300m (ex VAT). The Lot values are estimates based on the total framework value. A framework is no guarantee of work.

Lot 1a (was 1). Minor Civils

Description

The Council requires suitably qualified and experienced contractors who are interested in gaining approval onto a Framework Agreement to undertake HC projects which cover a range of minor highway improvement works including resurfacing of minor and major roads and footways and small network management improvement works to support the delivery of their Highway Infrastructure Asset Management Plan (HIAMP).

For works up to £150k plus BCIS Index. Suppliers will be ranked on their submission scores. The highest scoring supplier will be offered the work first, if they are unable to complete the contract, the second ranked supplier will be offered the work and so on.

The budgets may fluctuate on an annual basis.

Lot 1ab (was 2). Major Civils

Description

The Council requires suitably qualified and experienced contractors who are interested in gaining approval onto a Framework Agreement to undertake the design and delivery of Highway alteration improvements across the whole project lifecycle. HD will be the primary users and Lot Lead for Lot 1B.

HD projects range from minor safety interventions to EG: install standalone crossing facilities, up to large scale active travel corridors and major remodelling of junctions.

Any works over £150k to a maximum of the current FTS Threshold value at the time of each further competition.

The budgets may fluctuate on an annual basis.

Lot 2b (was 3). Specialist Surface Treatment

Description

The Council requires suitably qualified and experienced contractors who are interested in gaining approval onto a Framework Agreement to undertake all labour, supervision, plant, materials, traffic management, testing, temporary works and ancillary activities necessary to complete the Works in accordance with the Service Specification, Pricing Schedule and the relevant Call-Off Contract.

Further competition only and budgets can fluctuate on an annual basis.

Lot 3c (was 4). Structures and Bridges

Description

The Council requires suitably qualified and experienced contractors who are interested in gaining approval onto a Framework Agreement to undertake general structures works projects including the construction of new highway structures and the maintenance and strengthening of existing highway structures.

The type of structures would include retaining walls, bridges, footbridges, subways and signal gantry's.

The highest ranked supplier will be offered the contract first for works under £75k plus BCIS index,

Further competitions will be conducted for any works from £75k plus BCIS index to a maximum of the FTS Threshold Values Inclusive of VAT current when letting each further competition.

Budgets will fluctuate annually.

Description

The Council requires suitably qualified and experienced contractors who are interested in gaining approval onto a Framework Agreement to undertake Landscape and Associated Works projects including the construction of a diverse range of new hard and soft landscape projects inclusive of appropriate maintenance periods upon completion.

The highest ranked supplier will be offered the contract first for works under £75k plus BCIS index,
