Description
Trowbridge Town Council ("the Council") invites tenders from competent and qualified contractors for the provision of testing, inspection, planned preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance and monitoring of the following systems:
Fire alarm systems
Intruder alarm systems
Monitoring of fire and intruder alarms
Controlled access (fob/code entry) systems
Emergency lighting systems
Portable fire extinguishers
Annual fire risk assessments
This service is required across seven Council sites ("the Sites") for an initial period of 3 years, with the option for the Council to extend for a further period of up to 2 years. The Council is committed to safeguarding the health, safety and welfare of residents, staff and visitors, and to maintaining full compliance with:
BS 9999 - Fire safety in the design, management and use of buildings
Approved Document B - Fire safety (Building Regulations)
The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005
BS 5266-1 - Emergency lighting

Relevant experience, particularly with public sector or local authority clients, and quality of references provided.
The Council reserves the right not to award the Contract to the lowest-priced tender, and to award on the basis of the most economically advantageous tender as determined by the above weighting
