Balfour Beatty at the University of Strathclyde
Balfour Beatty's team shares how they have delivered a new £60 million learning and teaching facility for the University of Strathclyde. The works involved linking two of the university’s existing buildings with a new build element to create a facility fit for the 21st century that celebrates the original architecture of the Grade II listed building.
The benefits of repurposing the existing buildings include cost savings, a 67% reduction of embodied carbon compared to building new and retaining the learning and teaching facility at the heart of the campus.
