North America’s first 3D printed two-storey building
Using regular concrete, Canadian 3D construction printing company Nidus3D is creating the first multi-storey 3D printed building in North America.
Nidus3D used the BOD2 printer from Cobod , which claims to be the world’s leading company in 3D construction printing solutions, whose technology has already been used to 3D print the first two- and three-storey buildings in Europe.
Based in Denmark Cobod 3D printed Europe's first building in 2017. Since then, 3D printed buildings in Belgium, Germany, Angola, Emirates have been made with its technology. Cobod shareholders include General Electric, Cemex and Peri Group and its partners include Dar Al Arkan (Saudi Arabia), L&T Construction (India) and JGC (Japan).
