ZEDPod prefabs to make Dunstable debut
he development is set to be the first project of ZEDFactory, whose prefab ZEDPod homes are design by Bill Dunster to be low cost and energy efficient. The ZEDPod concept was demonstrated at the Building Research Establishment’s Innovation Park in Watford in 2016.
The Zero Bills Home has been developed by Zedfactory, a design firm that specialises in reducing carbon consumption.
Zero Bills comes as a kit of parts – a steel frame with timber wall panels – most of which is manufactured in the UK. The system costs £1350 per square metre.
