Ladbrokes St Leger Festival 10th September 2008.

The opening day of the St Leger festival at Doncaster, saw a break in the bad weather. Ensuring 32 clients of The Construction Index enjoyed an action packed day at the races, some even made a profit! The Construction Index Box was hosted in the Urban I Stand on the top floor, offering outstanding views of the racecourse. We would like to say a big thank you to all our customers who attended and hope you enjoyed the day as mush as we did!

The Construction Index Conditions Stakes saw the Moore-Hannon combination strike again as Bonnie Charlie won. With Ryan Moore on board, the Richard Hannon-trained six-year-old took his fourth victory in Doncaster with a win by three quarters of a length. Hannon and Moore completed a near 7-1 double as Bonnie Charlie responded to pressure to take the six-furlong Construction Index Conditions Stakes as the 10-11 favourite.

Ballantrae kicked off proceedings with victory in the Flakt Woods Nursery. Meanwhile, Slugger O'Toole eased to victory in the Heating And Ventilation News Handicap, while Judge 'n Jury claimed the Emap Glenigan Sprint Handicap. Perks, ridden by Jimmy Quinn, made short work of his two rivals in the Hire From Hewden Conditions Stakes and Galeota claimed the Construction News Scarbrough Stakes for the second year in a row.
