Our systems are designed to overcome common ground challenges, including high groundwater table, ground heave, foundations in clay soil, made-up ground, chalk and peat. Our foundations are suitable for all types of construction, ranging from traditional brick and block to modern construction techniques such as timber frame, sealed panels, or modular. The system works extremely well coupled with off-site construction techniques, as it delivers a finished slab with reduced tolerances on levels and dimensions versus traditional methods, and a slab completion rate of around 250m2 per week, complementing the faster construction programmes.

We can be built on bored, driven, helical or displacement piles, vibro stone columns and other forms of improved ground. We offer either a ground bearing slab or a suspended clear voided system to cater for heave risk or potential ground gases.On many house foundations, especially on clay or high water table sites, our piled raft foundations and concrete raft foundations provide a robust, economical alternative to conventional strip footing and trench solutions, helping to control long-term movement and heave.

Designs are produced by our in-house foundation engineers using advanced finite element analysis to ensure each project is fully value-engineered. We coordinate closely with your structural engineer, ground investigation contractor and groundworks teams to deliver integrated groundworks foundation packages.

At Abbey Pynford, we also provide exemplary Health and Safety procedures, as our systems reduce risk on site, is BBA approved come with warranty provider approval: NHBC, Premier Guarantee and LABC.
