B&K Nottingham supply demolition services to Nottingham and the East Midlands. Our demolition experts can provide a full range of services, such as: Demolition, Asbestos Removal, Civils, Reclamation and Waste Management.

We also have a quarry, yellowstone quarry for stone supplies of the famous Bulwell Stone.

Our services include:

Demolition:

At B&K, we are able to provide the complete demolition service from start to finish.

Our own in-house asbestos team who can provide the necessary type 3 reports and subsequent notifiable asbestos removal prior to any demolition works.

Our office based support staff who will carry out the relevant section 80 paperwork for the local authorities and can assist the disconnection of service if required. They will also prepare a detailed Method Statement and risk assessment (unique to your project) along with our full health and safety policy. This is updated regularly in order to comply with any change in Health and Safety legislation.

Our demolition team and plant will then arrive on site to carry out the works. We own a wide range of dedicated demolition machinery, including excavators, power shears and a mobile crushing unit which is operated by a fully trained and dedicated work force. All of the waste will be removed from site, as required, using our own waste skips and lorries to the relevant waste management authorities where it will be recycled if at all possible.

Using our new Extec C12+ crushing unit, we are able to recycle ourselves all concrete and brick hardcore, from the existing walls and foundations. This crushed material can then be reused in the re-development of the site in new footings etc... The recycling of this quality aggregate therefore benefits the environment on many different levels.

Once all of the work has been completed, all of the waste has been removed from site, and you are completely happy with the work, we will then hand over the site to the main contractor ready for development.

Stone Quarrying:

At Yellowstone Quarry in Linby, we extract our own unique Bulwell stone. It has a very distinctive colouring and has been used to build many houses and assorted buildings around Nottingham for 200 years. Our stone constituted most of the 19th Century buildings (along with Ancaster stone) and has also been used in the construction of Newstead Abbey and even some mediaeval constructions.

With our superior quality cutting equipment, we are able to produce a beautifully smooth building stone block which will give your project a visual impact like no other. We also continue to produce and hand-finish a more natural, rough looking stone block in 100mm, 150mm and 200mm depths We also stock 6" and 12" dressed copings, random dry stone walling and rockery stone and all of our products can be delivered to your door.

Asbestos Removal:

We have our own in-house fully arca registered ASI asbestos removal team, who are also able to carry out type 3 reports.

Civils:

We are proud to be a principle contractor for Nottingham City Council & NCM and we were a key part of the regeneration of the St Anns area of Notts City Centre. We have the capabilities to undertake civils of any description, either for local authorities or private individuals.

Waste Management:

Waste is managed in accordance to strict COSHH guidelines, with all staff being fully COSHH trained.

Crushing Hire:

We have an Extec C12+ mobile crushing unit which is available for hire with a fully trained operative. Manufactured in 2007, it produces 30% less dust than it's nearest competitor making it the most environmentally friendly crusher available. This can also be hired with associated loading plant & operators.
