Formed in 1987, the company established its reputation for innovative design and quality manufacture with the mould-breaking 5000 screen, a machine that was to form the bedrock of the companyâ€™s continued growth. The success of the companyâ€™s original machines was also to drive moves from its original Leicester base to a factory in Sheffield and then a larger facility in Wincobank before ultimately settling at its current home in Swadlincote, Derbyshire.

Subject to a massive and ongoing redevelopment, the Swadlincote headquarters is home to the companyâ€™s core administrative functions and also boasts around 500,000 ft2 of state-of-the-art production, a key element in Extecâ€™s success.

Through ongoing investment in personnel, the bespoke factory development, and the use of the very latest technology, Extec has managed to increase production and satisfy customer demand whilst remaining at the cutting edge of mobile crushing and screening equipment design.

The company currently employs over 500 people worldwide, and manufactures at two purpose-built facilities in England and Northern Ireland.
