MG Scotland are a respected provider of construction-related plant operator and health and safety training in Scotland. We bring together 26 years of industry training experience to our clients who operate in a wide variety of sectors including construction, civil engineering, facilities management, utilities, local authorities and oil and gas. We deliver construction plant operator training, accredited by CPCS or NPORS, from our fully-equipped training centre in Bathgate using equipment from some of the industry’s leading manufacturers such as Volvo, Terex, Manitou and Hyundai.

CPCS TRAINING

Popular courses include Telehandler (inc or exc 360 slew), Slinger/Signaller, Forward Tipping Dumper, Ride on Roller, Dump Truck and Excavator (360 above or below 10 tonnes).

NPORS TRAINING

Popular courses include Telehandler (inc or exc 360 slew), Slinger/Signaller, Forward Tipping Dumper, Ride on Roller, Dump Truck and Excavator (360 above or below 10 tonnes).

IPAF TRAINING

The International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) promotes the safe and effective use of powered access worldwide. This powered access equipment, often referred to as ‘MEWPs’ (mobile elevating work platforms) are used within construction and maintenance for working at height.

Scottish Qualifications Authority

SQA provides a wide range of high quality, internationally recognised qualifications and associated services which provide routes to jobs or further study.

As an accredited SQA training centre, MG Scotland are able to deliver these qualifications and assessments:

1-Day SQA Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment at SCQF level 4 (required for CSCS Green Card)

Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) is a certificate of vocational education in Scotland

CITB Health, Safety & Environment Test (TOUCHSCREEN TEST)

Construction plant operators looking to apply for a CPCS or CSCS card within the UK construction industry must have the required construction-related qualifications and training AND also pass the CITB Health Safety and Environment (HS&E) Test within the previous two years. This test is widely known in the industry as the ‘Touchscreen Test’.
