Power Plant Excavations Ltd is a Chesterfield based Bulk Earthworks Contractor operating mainly in the Midlands and North of England. Founded in 1994, the company has maintained a steady rate of growth, whilst building a reputation for completing projects safely within the cost and time parameters of our clients.

Bulk Earthworks are the core of our operations, carried out primarily in the Mineral Extraction Industry. The above works are also operations are supplemented by Plant Hire, and our involvement in Large Scale Earthworks, relating to Civil Engineering and Building Projects ranging from:

Our current client base includes Tarmac Ltd, Lafarge Aggregates, Aggregate Industries, Bowmer and Kirkland, Caddick Construction and Marshalls Mono Ltd, Tarmac Recycling Ltd.

We operate a modern fleet of well-maintained machines ranging from:

â€¢ CAT & Volvo 360 Excavators 25ton to 45ton

â€¢ Volvo Articulated Dump Trucks 25ton to 30ton

â€¢ CAT Dozers c/w Ripper attachments D6 and D8 class

â€¢ Ancillary equipment including mobile bunded gas-oil tanks, farm tractors equipped with dust suppression tanks and CAT graders for haul road maintenance.

As a business, we have our own in house maintenance department, which carries out all servicing and maintained works on our plant and machinery.

We also have our own in house surveying department for site surveys and setting out, equipped with GPS and LSS software for volumetric calculations.

Health, Safety, and the Environment is key to maintaining the business status as one of the leading Bulk Excavation Earthworks Specialists in the midlands. To achieve this we have our own in house health, safety, and environment department, which aim to achieve high standards e.g. very low accident rate, effective policies, procedures, and management systems, highly trained workforce, well maintained plant and machinery.

As a company, we are current members of a number of associations within our industry and have achieved a number of accreditations and awards for achievement of benchmark standards for our management systems and standards in key areas, consisting of:
