Silva Timber is a trading name of The Deck Supply Co. Ltd. Formed in west London in 2000, Deck Supply Co. began life as a supplier of deck construction materials to landscapers and deck builders across the south east. The company has always focused on sourcing quality products and from the very beginning Western Red Cedar has been the species of choice.

High demand for quality decking materials enabled Deck Supply Co. to grow quickly over the early years. The customer base expanded beyond the south east and in 2003 the decision was taken to open a second location in Liverpool to serve customers in the north and to store shipments from Canada coming through the port of Liverpool. By this time Deck Supply Co. had diversified beyond just decking and garden related products. Cedar shingles, shakes and cladding were now important additions to the range and a new arm of the business, Silva Timber Products, was launched to serve architects and developers.
