Sygma Solutions is a leading UK specialist in underground utility location and cable avoidance training. Based in Wigan, Greater Manchester, we deliver accredited training courses to construction and utilities contractors across the UK.

Our courses are accredited by ProQual and EUSR (including the CAT1 qualification), and we are a CITB Approved Training Organisation. We teach operatives and supervisors how to safely locate underground cables, pipes, and services before excavation work begins —

reducing the risk of utility strikes, serious injury, and project delays.

We are best known for our unique genny-first training methodology, which is a more effective approach to locating buried utilities than the traditional CAT-first method taught by most providers. This methodology has a proven track record of reducing utility strikes on site.

In addition to training, we are authorised suppliers of Mala Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) equipment and cable locators. We provide equipment sales, calibration, maintenance, and rental services.
