Estimator/Cost Manager

Job Description

To ensure that all projects are accurately financially estimated, tendered and cost reported in a timely fashion. To ensure all projects are on time and on budget by determining client needs, calculating costs and timelines and monitoring construction progress. Develop and drive internal reporting, efficiencies and value across all projects. To produce a 'Best in Class' cost management system that is both efficient and is simple and transparent.

What you'll be doing:
Shaping the cost reporting and management of projects driving efficiency.

Providing detailed estimating forecasts for all new projects.
Provide and implement cost and cash tracking documents across projects
Create pricing templates for FF&E, along with M&E tender documents
Support the development of all internal cost control systems.
Support in feasibility studies and cost benefit analysis, along with cost risks.
Providing accurate and weekly cost tracking across all live projects.
Ensuring that Contractors and Suppliers provide an efficient service, value for money and are fully compliant with all health and safety legislation.
Supporting the PM team to drive projects forward in a timely and efficient manner.
Assist in site visits where required to ensure the accurate costings of materials and monitor progress.
To provide value engineering opportunities across projects without compromising the quality of the build.
Develop and maintain a consistent and transparent way of communicating costs to external clients and internal teams.
Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation.
Run tender exercises for new projects and provide accurate and detailed summary reports.
Track changes to the design and/or construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly.
Produce final accountant and reconciled costings across projects.
Develop and implement framework agreements and schedules of rates driving value and efficiency across multisite clients.
Assist in drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts with clients, contractors and suppliers.
Procure or agree the services of contractors and/or subcontractors who work on the construction of the project.
⁠Liaise with the client and other construction professionals, such as consultants, contractors and client teams.

Requirements:
Strong work ethic and dynamic self-starter, with a problem-solving attitude.
Super organised and diligent individual with a strong attention to detail.
A clear and effective communicator able to manage all key stakeholders.
A strong 'Can Do' attitude with a clear focus on progression and shaping the future of the company.
Experience of contractor / client-side contracts and project management within retail, leisure or hospitality.
A proven track record in delivering and executing high end retail interior fit outs across the UK up to the value of £5m.
A solid understanding of construction safety requirements and H&S legislation.
Ability to develop trust and build strong client relations.
Very Good Excel skills, using formula and developing spreadsheets
Clean UK Driving License
