Job description Niche Projects is an-award winning work space design and build specialist We are due to start a number of office fit out projects in London and we’re looking for site supervisors.
The Role The role of Site Supervisor is designed to assist the Project Manager and the Project Administrator to effectively manage construction sites. In effect, they are the eyes and ears of the Projects Team.
The role combines elements of responsibility for site management and maintenance with more practical and hands-on duties. As such, the roles can be split into two different parts - Supervision and Site Duties.
Supervision When a Site Supervisor attends site they are responsible for carrying out a series of supervision duties. These duties include, but are not limited to ensuring the following: • To take a pro-active attitude to site maintenance • To ensure The health & Safety file is in place and complete • The site signage is in good repair and undamaged • To report any faults or missing items relating to PPE and Site safety equipment • To check the fire extinguishers are still on site and un-tampered • The signing in book has been filled in by any Contractors on site • All Contractors are wearing PPE & Site Boots • There are no dangerous activities, products or tools on site • Only 110V tools are being used • To fill out and sign the daily site checklist • To report via telephone any potential problems or dangerous incidents to the Projects Manager immediately by telephone • To report any damage to site or company property • To ensure there is nothing at the premises that will mean that there are problems or comebacks to Niche Projects • To ensure that no materials or rubbish have been left in communal areas and to remove immediately if discovered • To oversee major deliveries of materials as part of a larger supplied team by the contractors including hands-on involvement Site Duties · At each site visit to clean the site and to tidy rubbish to designated areas including bagging up waste · To ensure that all communal areas are clean and not dirty from site rubbish and to hoover where necessary · To ensure that site protection is in place and not damaged and to repair where necessary · To ensure that the site toilets are clean and tidy · To accept deliveries where required and to bring products from street level to the site and to keep delivery notes to be submitted to the site office Clothing Site Supervisors must wear at all times on site Niche Projects branded tops, hoodie and hi-vis. Site safety shoes or boots
Contract length: Varies 4 – 6 weeks per project Part-time hours: 40 per week Job Types: Short term contracts Salary: £400.00-£500.00 per week
