Structural Engineer- Designer

Structural Engineer- Designer We are looking for a Structural Engineer-Designer to work in the technical department of our company which is active in the construction sector dealing specifically with structural components design and specification work for façade cladding. Our company has worked in a number of prestigious projects in the field of facade cladding and is well-known in the sector. We provide services in the design and supply of Fixing Systems & Structural Components in Stainless steel and Galvanized steel. We are planning to recruit candidates who are motivated & willing, open to learning and have a team spirit who will support the work of our company in this field. Responsibilities: • Working on projects from our customers and preparing design drawings, loading tables, stress analysis and structural reports. • Conducting work on project files and documents for the preparation of estimates, BOQ and pricing. • Preparing detailed reports using MS word and excel, designs and drawings using ACAD when necessary. • Preparing necessary presentations by making calculations about loads and stresses and advising on suitable products and materials. • Contacting customers or consultancy firms when necessary to obtain planning and/or building code documents, specifications and other relevant details. • Monitoring and inspecting works undertaken by contractors for review and specifications compliance. When required providing detailed plans, drawings and manuals to ensure work is done as per design parameters. • Ensuring that all important information and documents are recorded safely and protected. • To contact internal team members or, if necessary, external persons for the work to be done. • Working with the team members to ensure team effectiveness. Required Qualifications: • Civil engineering degree and 2 years’ experience preferable. Other engineering backgrounds with relevant structural engineering experience may be considered • Fluent in English, both written and spoken • Good command of MS Office programs • Proactive and analytical thinking • Good working knowledge of CAD, and FEA programs
