Job Title: Drainage Engineer (PTS)
Location: Primarily Sussex & Wessex - Regular travel to London (Clapham, Wimbledon, Strawberry Hill) and across Kent, Sussex, and Wessex
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Drainage Engineer with a valid PTS (Personal Track Safety) certification to join our team, delivering high-quality drainage works across key sites in London, Sussex, Kent, and Wessex. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the planning, setting out, and execution of drainage works, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards of safety and compliance.
While our coverage includes Kent, Sussex, and Wessex, much of the work will be based in South London (Clapham, Wimbledon, Strawberry Hill) and throughout Sussex, extending down to Eastbourne.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting out and delivery of drainage works in accordance with design specifications and safety standards
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and plans
- Supervising and managing site works and teams where required
- Ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety regulations, including railway industry standards
- Coordinating with project managers, clients, and subcontractors
Requirements:
- Proven experience in drainage engineering, with a strong track record on rail or civil infrastructure projects
- Valid PTS certification
- Strong setting out skills and familiarity with surveying equipment
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
- Willingness to travel and work across multiple locations as needed
Desirable:
- SSSTS or SMSTS certification
- Experience working on Network Rail infrastructure
- Knowledge of CDM regulations
