The Position
We are looking to recruit Part 1 and Part 2 Scaffolders and Scaffolder Labourers to join our in-house construction team based at our residential new-build site in Ipswich. Our residential project consists of 173 units, comprising a mix of two-bed, three-bed, and four-bed homes on the banks of the River Orwell in Ipswich Town Centre.
This is a permanent position for the successful candidates, as Galliard Homes has plans for future projects around the local area once our Ipswich project has completed. The benefits of permanent employment are listed at the bottom of this job description.
Duties include:
General scaffolding duties including the following.
- Erection and striking scaffolding to an agreed programme including adaptions as required.
- Stock Control
- Scaffold inspections and handover
- Experience and qualified for both System and Tube and fitting scaffold systems.
The Person:
- Previous scaffolding experience is essential.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- The ability to work well with other and remain calm in stressful situations.
- Has a thorough understanding of tools, materials, and all trades.
- Expert communicator, capable of effectively managing conflict and solving problems.
- Work well as part of a team.
- Knowledge of health and safety.
- Relevant up to date H&S qualifications including CSCS.
- Physical fitness and endurance.
- Ability to work from height.
