A construction worker has been injured after roof frames collapsed on a building site in Dudley, West Midlands.

The man, thought to be in his 60s, was hurt when roofing A-frames toppled over on the third floor of a new build project, reports the Sunday Mercury.

He suffered injuries to back, knee and face in the accident, and was taken to Russell Hall Hospital by paramedics.

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service told the paper: “The man was immobilised using and spinal board and neck collar at the top of the building before paramedics, with the assistance of the fire service, transported the patient down to ground level.”
