The Wacker DPU130 is the largest remote control plate available in the market place. Groundworks contractor CP Dynes has bought two of them for large drainage work after initially renting them for assessment.

Wacker Neuson country manager Ian McVey said of this machine: “The benefits to the users are clear, it not only removes the operator from the dust and dirt, the noisy environment and any issues with hand-arm vibration, the potential savings in both transport and operating costs over using a 7-tonne tyre-backed roller, means the operator gains a significant financial advantage on job site costs and therefore savings can be passed on during the tendering process.

With the split base plates allows a greater turning moment and makes the units extremely manoeuvrable combining this with the safety of the infra-red remote control and the diagnostics incorporated in the on-board control module makes this a truly world leading machine”.
