Registered social housing provider Newlon Housing Trust has chosen Galliford Try Partnerships to redevelop the former Cannon Rubber factory in Tottenham.

The project will see the creation of 222 new homes as one, two and three-bed apartments, new commercial space and a new two-form entry primary school capable of accommodating 420 pupils.

The construction phase of the project starts this month, June, with completion expected in mid 2015.

Galliford Try Chief Executive Greg Fitzgerald commented: "Our record in regeneration projects means we are recognised as a contractor of choice, and we are delighted that Newlon have chosen us to go ahead with this significant project. We look forward to working with Newlon to build these community facilities that will bring considerable benefit to the area."
