This new product features a rigid foam core faced on both sides with a multi-layer coated aluminium foil; the new Eurothane Eurodeck board is designed for use under mechanically fixed single-ply membrane waterproofing systems.
A low thermal conductivity value of 0.022 W/mK, makes Eurothane Eurodeck up to 30% more efficient than many other insulation materials. It has zero ozone depletion potential and being fully compatible with most synthetic and bitumen based single-ply membrane systems it is extremely versatile and suited to a wide variety of applications.
Lightweight and easy to handle, the tough and resilient Eurothane Eurodeck boards can be easily cut on site using a knife or fine-toothed saw. The boards are also rot-proof, durable and maintenance free, and once correctly installed they will withstand loads associated with pedestrian maintenance traffic on the roof. Eurothane Eurodeck has excellent compressive strength which typically exceeds 150KPa.
Eurothane Eurodeck offers excellent environmental properties, with a GWP of <5 an ODP value of zero and a green guide rating of A.
“This is an excellent board for single-ply mechanically fastened warms roofs, which is manufactured to ISO 9001Quality Systems to ensure that it provides outstanding performance,” explains Recticel’s Technical Services & Development Manager, Andrew Lamburn. “We offer it in a wide range of thicknesses and its performance is such that Eurothane Eurodeck can reduce the amount of insulation required whilst ensuring compliance with the latest BREEAM standards and the latest 2010 Part L Building Regulations.
Eurothane Eurodeck complements the Recticel flagship product of Eurothane Silver, the latter offering unparalleled compressive strength performance and industry-leading board flatness. Additionally Eurothane Silver carries LPCB and FM certification , Eurothane Silver is also available with rebated and tongue and groove edge finishes to reduce cold bridging, Eurothane Eurodeck is supplied with square edges.
