Quality in Construction Awards 2008

The 12th annual event, which celebrates innovation, best practice and teamwork in the construction industry, took place last Monday at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London, with The Construction Index as one of the evening sponsors.

Union Railways / Rail Link Engineering was the big winner at the Quality in Construction Awards. Following a category win in Project £50m+ for the Channel Tunnel Rail Link Section 2, it received the Judges' Supreme Award, with the panel declaring the venture a "true testimony to the best that the UK construction industry can offer". BAA also received two accolades. It won A new category "Client of the Year", along with "Collaborative Engineered Design".
