The project is part of the Future High Street fund to improve Fargate, which is a prominent pedestrianised street in Sheffield City Centre & adjacent the Town Hall. The building will be converted from commercial use to a mixed-use facility, with an event space for live music within the basement, flexible multiuse, Makers Space & entrance spaces on the ground, first & second floors & co working office space on the third & fourth floors. Works will include alterations to internal walls & partitions, new external & internal doors, new sanitary provision, structural alterations, upgrading of building fabric to improve sustainability performance, new windows, upgraded roof coverings & PV installations, remodelling of existing staircases & installation of a new lift. The existing entrance & facade will be remodelled; a glazed recessed entrance space will be created. Significant works are required within the basement, including a tanking treatment to prevent water ingress to the events area.

II.2.4) Description of the procurement
