The regeneration of Clay Cross town centre is part of the government’s Towns Fund initiative, delivering long term economic and productivity growth through urban regeneration, skills and enterprise infrastructure and connectivity. In response to the Town Investment Plan (TIP) submitted in March 2021, the Clay Cross Town Board communicated a vision of transforming Clay Cross into a thriving, sustainable and industrious market town, built on a strong and vibrant community spirit and unique heritage. The Clay Cross Town Regeneration scheme aims to improve connectivity, invest in skills and enterprise, and encourage clean growth.

II.2.4) Description of the procurement

The regeneration of Clay Cross town centre is part of the government’s Towns Fund initiative, delivering long term economic and productivity growth through urban regeneration, skills and enterprise infrastructure and connectivity. The Works options include the demolition, refurbishment, and proposed new-build buildings within Clay Cross. The external works elements consist of hard and soft landscaped areas, with a proposed main access road to new and existing car parking, along with the pocket park areas and proposed town square. Combining all these works will create a modern flexible multi-use community, hospitality, educational, and entrepreneurial space.
