II.1.4) Short description
Peel Ports are currently undertaking research into the capabilities of the market for the supply and installation of a new gangway at the Liverpool 2 container terminal on the Port of Liverpool.
Peel Ports would like to engage with companies who are have proven capability of designing and installing gangways suitable for use with large container ships.

II.2.4) Description of the procurement
The gangway must be able to;
• Ensure safe access and egress for vessels moored alongside the Liverpool 2 container terminal in the Port of Liverpool
• Provide access and egress to container ships from 200m to 400m in length
• Be operable at all states of tide
• Be operable during cargo (container) handling
• Operate at any location along the berth
• Be set up and operable within 15 minutes of the vessel coming alongside.
• Be safe to use in up to 35 knots of wind
• Be self-levelling (slave mode) with the vessel throughout the tidal cycle
• Be maintainable / serviceable on site.
