Essex County Council’s tree planting project, the Essex Forest Initiative (EFI), is looking to procure a maximum of 2220 10-14cm containerised standard trees with their resultant trees stakes and ties to plant/install across the county as part of the delivery of climate and environmental benefits for people and wildlife.

II.2.4) Description of the procurement
As part of the Urban Tree Challenge Fund and Local Authority Treescape fund requirements, Essex County Council is seeking a Plant Healthy tree nursery who can deliver a maximum of 2220 high quality, healthy, containerised trees to our planting contractors in time for the winter planting season 2023/24. We will also require suitable trees stakes and ties. Initial delivery will be in November 2023 and subsequent deliveries can be made up until February 2024. We have an agreed species list.
