II.1.4) Short description
This Contract is for the Provision of Engineering Inspections to meet the requirements of the Health and Social Care (HSC) Trusts in Northern Ireland. The Contractor will be required to manage the provision of statutory inspections in health care facilities and in service users / patients’ homes across Northern Ireland for approximately 16,600 devices to enable the Clients to fulfil their statutory obligations. The Contractor must ensure that the statutory inspections are programmed to be carried out as required in relation to lifting equipment and equipment under pressure to achieve compliance with Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (NI) 1999 and Pressure Systems Safety Regulations (NI) 2004; and where applicable, the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (NI) 1999 (PUWER), the Electricity At Work Act (NI) 1991 (EAWR), the Control Of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (NI) 2003 (COSHH), and the Health and Safety at Work (Northern Ireland) Order 1978; and, or, any amendments thereto for the duration of the Contract.
