The footage was taken at Scottish Coal’s Ponesk opencast coal site. The 1400hp RH120E has a massive breakout force of 920kn, and with its 17m3 bucket is capable of loading the waiting trucks in just 3 passes.
Also sent into us by our friends at the Finnish magazine Koneporssi, is this video of the latest reincarnation of the Bucyrus/Terex 120E, which is now under the Caterpillar branding as reported here on the digger blog earlier in the year. The Caterpillar 6030 as it is now known is seen here at work at Yara international’s phosphate mine near Siilnjarvi in Finland, during its commissioning day earlier this month.
