Software Development Trainer

Job Description

Protocol are delighted to be supporting a tech focused training provider based in the East Midlands in order to recruit for a Software Development Trainer and mentor. They are looking for the full 360, someone with a positive can do attitude who can also support learners at the same time. A genuine passion for the sector is a must.

The role will be home based, and the client is based in Derby.



Role responsibilities
Assess individual and group training needs; maintain individual and group training records
Plan, prepare, and research lessons
Develop and deliver programs of learning activities
Prepare teaching/course materials
Instruct users on an individual or group basis
Check and assess (grade) users' work and deliver feedback with course grades
Apply new technologies to deliver courses and improve the learning experience for users
Keep personal IT skills and knowledge up to date
Travel to apprentices as and when necessary (around the East Midlands)


The person & qualifications
Teaching qualification preferable but not essential
Software qualification (software development, computer science etc.)
Experience working with apprentices and delivery apprenticeships
Msut be familiar with the new standards
