Job Title: Technical Engineer - Build Enviroment
Location: Bristol
Salary: £23,000 to £26,000
Fulltime, Permanent
If you are a graduate or have previous experience in construction or passive fire protection, this is an ideal role for you
As a Technical Engineer you will be working with a leading supplier of drywall products and systems, steel framing and passive fire protection materials that have been protecting lives and livelihoods for over 50 years. Employees are considered to be their principal asset and as a result they invest in them for the long term. You will play an important part in this business being involved in providing ongoing technical support to both internal and external customers within the field of passive fire protection. You will be able to develop your skills and understanding throughout this role with their onsite training scheme.
The role:
Learning from the ground up, you will be shadowing a multitude of senior team leaders and learning the business inside and out. Taking part in construction based courses, visiting and developing and carrying out design and site visits with their site support and specification managers, Delivering this in a timely manner to meet customer needs through specification advice, AutoCAD detailing, risk management and professional judgement. During the programme you will develop your technical design and customer interfacing skills.
About you:
You will be a Degree or HNC/HND/BTech Graduate, who has been educated in a building, architectural, structural/civil engineering or other construction related field.
* You have great communication skills, who can reply technical information both verbally and written
* Some knowledge of AutoCAD preferred
* Willing to learn and develop
* Able to demonstrate good customer service
* Able to provide design support for bespoke detailing
