Job Description
Candidate must be Electrical Biased.
£50,000 to £60,000 (depending on experience & negotiable for the right candidate) + Benefits.
Our client is a M&E Services company they are specialist in Mechanical and Electrical Contractors operating across London and Eastbourne. They are seeking an ambitious and driven Construction Contracts Manager, the ideal candidate will be based in Eastbourne managing a prestigious 70+ flats from an office conversion, applicants must have previous experience of running conversion of flats.
Candidate Skills
10 + years of experienced within fit out / construction industry with trade background
Client facing with the ability to meet and discuss Operational matters with Building Management, Staff and Client representatives.
Forward thinking individual with the ability to make own decisions
Capable on use of MS packages, word, excel and e-permit systems
Good and effective communicator
Ability to enforce process well and table new ideas.
Ability to chair Client and Sub Contract meetings
Ability to programme Manage and sequence with other trades
Enjoys meeting new people and some socialising with colleagues
Roles & Responsibilities
Defining Client briefs
Receiving job pack from commercial team
Reading drawings and interoperating scopes
Production of RFI schedules
Production of RAMS and issuing
Logistic Management on projects
Organising labour and materials on projects
Better buying to maximise profit without compromising on quality
Chairing Client and contractor meetings
Quality control and walk round on projects
Project reporting/ Variation control and reporting
Cost Management against budget
Production of programmes and issuing
H&S Management on site and reporting
Snagging walk round and documentation
Project sign offs
Liaise with Head Office teams and attend meetings as required
Skills and Qualifications
The successful Construction Managers will have a strong Main Contractor background
Experience in the pre-construction phase of the projects
Degree or equivalent qualification in an engineering or construction based subject
Minimum of SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid in date
Ideally located within reasonable commute to Eastbourne
Excellent communication skills
Ensure materials are of correct standard and meet required standards
