General Manager - Greater Manchester
Competitive package - Base salary & performance related bonus.
We are looking for a General Manager to take on responsibility for the leadership and growth of a small manufacturing/engineering business based in Greater Manchester. At their manufacturing site in Greater Manchester they produce a scalable modular machine that has been sold in over 100 countries using a worldwide network of approved distributors and agents. The have invested heavily in research and development and have used state of the art technology and design to meet the demands of their international customer base.
They have an established client base with both national and international customers but there is plenty of potential for growth. The products are currently sold through a number of distributors and agents across the different countries and territories. The products are sold into the packaging, binding, labelling and printing sectors.
The role: This is a broad general management role. Reporting to the owner, you will direct and control the all business operations, you will be responsible for giving strategic guidance and direction to the team in order to achieve financial growth and long term goals. As well as overall responsibility for the P&L you will be responsible for driving new business development and sales you will ensure that all orders are built on time and to specification. You'll be responsible for the day to day running of the operations, finance, overseeing manufacturing, parts, stores, sales, after-sales and technical support as well as testing and calibration.
Our ideal candidate: Our ideal candidate for this role is likely to be a senior manager from manufacturing or machinery sector or a technical engineering manager who has worked with technical and engineered products. Experience of similar print/biniding products and knowledge of the industry would be advantageous.
