Structural Foreman/ Woman

Job Description

The Company is a global temporary facility builder, and integrated FM and logistics provider. They operate in a number of environments but within the UK their work tends to focus on providing support services to large engineering and construction projects.
The Company is tendering for a project to build a number of temporary buildings, including Offices, Canteens, Welfare facilities, Medical room, Warehouses and a Training facility, in support of a construction project.
The Company will not find out if they are successful until Mid-April which leaves minimum time to recruit around 90 workers necessary for the construction of the Temporary facilities.
Most positions will come to an end after 3-4 months although a small number may continue for the life of the main project.
Expressions of Interest are requested for one of the initial positions to be filled that of a Structural Foreman/Woman.

Key Features of the Role:
Plans, supervises and performs all phases of installation, maintenance, of mechanical systems and conducts regular inspection and maintenance of equipment and tools.
Inspects installations for quality, ensuring codes are met.
As the Structural Foreman use your experience to ensure workers follow and adhere to company, client and OSHA safety rules and regulations.
Provides customer and client with cost estimate of proposed installation, repair and/or maintenance and ensure project remains under budget and proper quality equipment and tools are utilised.
Maintains a proper record of completed tasks and the methods used to achieve goals and objectives and prepare daily work permits, time tickets, documenting and approving work performed, materials used, costs, etc.
Call upon your experience as a Structural Foreman to review safety task assessment cards from personnel and provide pre safety task assignment.
Provide safe work observations (SWO) and ensure that employees are fully trained in the required PPE for assigned tasks.
Ensure compliance with Personal Fall Arrest System (PFAS) and generate and ensure compliance for Confined space entry, Excavations, Motorized heavy equipment, Energy Isolation, Hot works, On, near or over water.
Follow hazard elimination program (HELP).
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Ideally be an accomplished Structural Foreman/Woman with experience in a petrochemical construction environment and hold relevant certification to undertake mechanical work.
A valid driving licence is required.
Ideally experienced as a Pipefitter or Structural Technician.
Proficient with hand and power tools as well as heavy equipment.
Experienced in scheduling crews and managing daily customer deliverables and able to set and balance priorities in order to complete projects on time.
Able to demonstrative safety leadership and excellent team-building and motivational skills.
Ideally you will have a valid CCNSG passport or relevant document and be able to follow safety rules as assigned by the Company.
Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel.
What’s on Offer?
£35-38K pro rata on a temporary worker basis.
No Holidays are offered or expected to be taken during the 3 months unless fully authorised by the Senior Manager on site.
