This commitment to quality continues to grow with the recent arrival of Kieran Gardiner who joins the team as Contracts Manager. Kieran, who recently gained national recognition, with the presentation of a Silver medal in the CIOB Construction Manager of the Year Awards 2009. His submission to the prestigious awards scheme was an account of the restoration of the Art Deco Midland hotel in Morecambe, an iconic landmark that had lain derelict for nine years which he completed while with Manchester developers Urban Splash.

Quadriga undertook extensive structural repair work on the hotel and advised on the spectacular rendered finish which sparkles in the sun. A strong professional relationship was formed between Quadriga MD Mark Pearson and Kieran during this period which eventually led to Kieran joining Quadriga. Kieran is currently bringing phase 2 of the façade restoration works to a close at Churchgate House on Oxford Road for client Savills. One of Manchester’s finest Terracotta clad buildings. Extensive works have been carried out to restore the façade which had become tired and dirty and in some cases called for the complete replacement of decorative pieces of terracotta and masonry to the cornices as well as complete redecoration and refurbishment of the windows. Other contracts under his care include the beautiful Portland Stone clad Blackfriars House on St Mary’s Parsonage which has been cleaned and had extensive repairs carried out as well as external decoration to the, Bruntwoods office building and Bolton Combined Courts for HMCS/DTZ which has received a complete external refurbishment.
