BAM seeks to build Welsh supply chain

15 Jul 11 BAM Construction is calling on small and medium sized Welsh contractors to work with it as supply chain partners as it targets more work in North Wales.

BAM is hosting a suppliers’ seminar, ‘Building with BAM’, on 28 July at Llandrillo College in Colwyn Bay, to find new partners. One-to-one sessions can be booked.

Rob Bailey, BAM’s project manager on the company’s Glan Clwyd hospital projects and the driving force behind the initiative, said: “We are targeting a number of schemes in North Wales especially in health and education. We are keen to expand our supply chain in the region to see if we can unearth the best partners for our business to help us deliver for our clients. We are looking for all services especially mechanical and electrical, cladding, joinery and decorating. The seminar represents a big commitment to the North Wales area.”

He added: “This is a big opportunity for small and medium enterprises to show us what they can do and to become supply chain partners to BAM. We’re keen to hear from them.”

Anyone interested in attending should email Janette Hynes on jhynes@bam.co.uk or phone 0800 083 0877 to register interest or book a one-to-one meeting.
