The appointment is the final part of a strategic re-organisation that has seen Kier drop its individual Bellwinch, Allison, Kier Homes Northern, Kier Caledonia and Twigden house-builder brands in favour of a single national Kier Homes banner.
Mr Thomas, who will be based in group HQ in Sandy, Bedfordshire, joins from Bovis Homes Eastern, where he was most recently southeast sales & marketing and customer care director.
Mr Thomas said: “The recent amalgamation of the individual brands under the single Kier Homes umbrella gives us not only the number of marketing economies of scale but, importantly, a chance to build a truly national presence.”
Kier Homes managing director John Anderson said of the new recruit: “His record at Bovis was enviable and his ideas and enthusiasm impressed the board as exactly the type of individual we need to drive the new Kier Homes brand forward.”
