Broad jaws from Atlas Copco

2 Nov 11 Atlas Copco Construction Tools has introduced two new hydraulic bulk pulveriser attachments fro demolition contractors.

With a new angled shape, these tools are designed for secondary demolition and additional reduction of reinforced concrete elements.

The bulk pulverisers are available for carriers of 18-35 tonnes .

The broad jaw increase throughput and makes it easy to feed in demolition material on the ground, the manufacturer says. This helps to speed up work and separate rebar from concrete.

An optional hydraulic rotation device also makes it possible to use the BP bulk pulverisers for primary demolition of ceilings and walls.

Jaw pressure is kept constant, even almost closed, to help demolish structures with fewer bites.

Speed valves shorten the opening and closing cycle time, thus reducing fuel consumption during pulveriser operation.

“Our new bulk pulverisers follow our concept of lower cost of ownership”, said Wolfgang Hohn, Atlas Copco product line manager for silent demolition tools. “And the robust design of the moving jaw and the housing extends the service life even under extreme stresses.”
