Constructionline, the government-owned prequalification certification scheme, is holding the event at Derby County Football Club, Pride Park.
Small and medium sized construction companies will be given the opportunity to have face to face meetings with key procurement decision makers. From the client side, Vinci Facilities, Nottinghamshire County Council, East Midlands Housing Group and Derbyshire Community Health NHS have confirmed their attendance.
Constructionline client relationship manager Kevin Nicholson said: “In our experience, many local councils and other businesses want to give work to SMEs in their area and in turn the contractors are eager to win these tenders. The problem is it’s often hard for contractors and buyers to gain access to one another and discuss opportunities.
“This event is designed to give local construction companies some valuable introductions, as well as helping them to learn about upcoming work opportunities, and how best to win business from the buyers. The event is one of the many benefits for Constructionline member suppliers in helping them find and secure work.”
