Cluttons targets Asia Pacific

4 Sep 12 Cluttons has appointed RICS immediate past president See-Lian Ong as a consultant, as it looks to develop business in the Asia Pacific region.

He will remain based in Malaysia and will use his knowledge and business connections in Asia to strengthen Cluttons' presence in the region. He will have a particular focus on developing international networks and facilitating cross border investment into the UK.

He is the first non-British passport holder to have been elected RICS president. Previous roles have included being managing director of DLS Management (Malaysia) and executive director of David Langdon & Seah International.

Cluttons has operated in the Middle East for 35 years and the company sees a renewed focus on Asia as being a natural move. Asia is seen as continuing to be an attractive proposition for investors and Cluttons’ partnership with VPC Asia Pacific has seen it turn its attention to the Asian economies.
